CAIRO – 2 August 2021: Aswan has announced its plan to incorporate digital transformation into the governorate’s services, allocating a building for digital transformation purposes.

 

“Digital transformation has become a necessity for citizens to obtain various services in the shortest time with the least possible effort,” Aswan Governor Maj. Gen. Ashraf Attia said.

 

The governorate has taken rapid steps to implement the digital transformation system, he added, explaining that Aswan started a trial operation of the largest digital transformation building in Upper Egypt, equipped with the latest technological technologies and trained human cadres in preparation for its opening.

 

The new building will perform 82 multiple services for citizens, and is linked to 11 developed technological centers in all cities to separate service providers from the recipients, in order to provide services in the fastest time and to reduce administrative corruption.

 

He pointed to the importance of integration in implementing the vision of digital transformation by linking all parties on the system to prevent data inconsistencies and to speed up the provision of services.

 

For her part, Dr. Ghada Abu Zeid, Deputy Governor of Aswan, explained that the comprehensive preparation phase of the digital transformation building has been completed, with the start of preparation for operation on national software and systems, in addition to implementing various training programs on digital transformation applications in cooperation with the Information and Support Center to localize the application of institutional memory, which includes 11 components, in addition to developing the electronic portal for the governorate.

 

The Deputy Governor added that this system provides a set of electronic services for workers within the system at their various functional levels, allowing dialogue, electronic correspondence, and electronic linkage between local units and service directorates.
