CAIRO – 7 July 2017: Euromoney awarded the Commercial international Bank–Egypt (CIB) the “World's best bank in the emerging markets 2017" award in a ceremony held in London on Thursday.

The award is the result of work plans achieved over the past years and a message to more than 6,000 employees that CIB is able to compete on the regional and international awards, the bank's Chairman Hisham Ezz Al-Arab told Egypt Today on the sidelines of the ceremony.

CIB is a strong rival to mega banks in the Middle East and the world in terms of the banking technology, services quality and banking products, despite domestic challenges, Ezz Al-Arab added.

The bank's chairman highlighted that choosing the CIB for this award was based on important criteria in advancing in the banking technology, stressing on the importance of investment in the human resources and technology to develop the banking business.
