CAIRO – 6 July 2017: Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr called on Spanish companies on Thursday to expand their investments in Egypt.

Spanish investments in Egypt amount to around $1.1 billion in the fields of services, building and construction, and industry.

The minister highlighted that the new investment map will offer more than 600 job opportunities in different governorates.

This came during Nasr’s meeting with a number of Spanish companies on Thursday, including COMSA, Gomplast, Salvat Logística, and BBi communication, at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Barcelona.

The minister noted that the growth rate reached 4.3 percent in the fiscal year FY 2015/2016 and is targeted to reach seven percent by FY 2018/2019. She added that Egypt ranked 29th in the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) indicator that included 58 countries.
