CAIRO – 27 April 2021: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended midweek session in green, adding around LE 3.47 billion to market capitalization, amid Arab and foreign purchases.

 

The benchmark EGX30 rose 0.62 percent, or 65.58 points, to end at 10,591.42 points.

 

 The equally weighted index EGX 50 rose 0.38 percent, or 7.89 points, to end at 2,066.18 points.

 

Moreover, the small and mid-cap index EGX 70 increased 0.65 percent, or 13.33 points, to close at 2,079.95 points, and the broader index EGX 100 jumped 0.58 percent, or 17.34 points, to close at 3,003.4 points.

 

Market capitalization gained around LE 3.47 billion, recording LE 655 billion, compared to LE 651.53 billion in Monday’s session.

 

The trading volume reached 408.15 million shares, traded through 36,022 transactions, with a turnover of LE 980.62 million.

 

Egyptian investors were net sellers at LE 100.82 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers at LE 76.78 million, and LE 24.03 million, respectively.

 

Egyptian and foreign individuals were net sellers at LE 131.82 million, and LE 562,215, respectively, while Arab individuals were net buyers at LE 70.42 million.

 

Egyptian, Arab and foreign organizations bought at LE 31 million, LE 6.36 million, and LE 24.59 million, respectively.

 

National Housing for Professional Syndicates, Minapharm Pharmaceuticals, and Nozha International Hospital were top gainers of the session at 10 percent, 9.99 percent and 9.74 percent, respectively.

 

Meanwhile, El Nasr for Manufacturing Agricultural Crops, El Obour Real Estate Investment, and El Ahli Investment and Development were top losers of the session by 9.65 percent, 8.91 percent, and 7.41 percent, respectively.
