Turkey trying to benefit from Doha crisis: Qatari opposition

CAIRO - 18 June 2017: Qatari opposition leader, Khalid Al-Haill, said that “90% of the Qatari diplomatic endeavors to elude the people, the isolating countries and the international community during have failed.”

Alluding to visits by Qatari officials and businessmen to Washington and Turkey, Haill said on his Twitter account, they are “beneficial only to the US economy and a failure in gaining a position in favor of Qatar. He added that the Qatari regime is “drowning and the Turks are trying to benefit from the Qatari crisis.”

Continuing in another tweet, Al-Haill noted that Qatar has played a big role in helping Iran's economy in the light of the previous international sanctions. Therefore, the Iranian regime will end if isolating Qatar continues.

The Qatari regime is now “preoccupied with itself, trying to maintain the ruling regime by declaring the state of internal emergency in the country,” he further explained, adding that the international community which “once dealt with the Qatar regime in leniency, allowed it to go to extremes in falsehood, but isolating Qatar has limited its role,” Al-Haill noted.

On June 5, a number of Arab countries including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain cut diplomatic ties with Qatar over accusations of funding terrorism and supporting terrorists.
