OTTAWA, Jan 17 (MENA) - Egyptian Ambassador in Ottawa Ahmed Abu Zeid on Friday met with National Security and Intelligence Advisor to Canada's Prime Minister David Morrison.

The two sides mulled the latest developments in the Middle East, including the crises in Iraq, Iran and Libya.

They also addressed the current Egyptian presidency of the African Union and ways to enhance Canadian engagement in support of peace and development in the African continent.

Abu Zeid also offered condolences to the Canadian official on behalf of the Egyptian government and people for the victims of the Ukrainian plane crash.
