CAIRO, Dec 17 (MENA) - Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs Hamdi Sanad Loza Tuesday reviewed Egypt's efforts in hosting refugees during an event organized by Egypt's permanent mission in Geneva.

During the event, held on the sidelines of the first Global Refugee Forum, currently in session in Geneva, he expounded Egypt's efforts in hosting more than 250,000 refugees registered with the United Nations Higher Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) from 59 nations and around five million others, the majority of whom had fled disputes, violence and suppression in their own countries.

Egypt offers services to refugees in the fields of education and health and they benefit from the state subsidies of various basic commodities, he said, stressing the country's constant steps to improve their conditions in light of Egypt Vision 2030.
