TRIPOLI, Dec 17 (MENA) - The Libyan Air Force on Tuesday launched three raids targeting Tripoli militias in Ain Zara in the south of the capital, Sky News reported.

The Libyan National Army announced at dawn the destruction of a military convoy affiliated to Libyan Government of National Accord (Al-Wefaq) militias while it was en route to Misrata city from Tripoli.

Battalion 127 of the Libyan Infantry said in a statement that the whole convoy was totally damaged and burnt after the Libyan army shelled it.

Libyan Army Spokesman Ahmed Al Mesmari said on Monday night that the Libyan army has achieved progress since the launch of the operation to free Tripoli, adding that strategic posts have been controlled on Ain Zara axis in southern Tripoli.
