Al Sisi makes history by Including Youth in policy-making

CAIRO – 27 November 2019: Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al Sisi appointed on Wednesday new governors and young deputies to attain political experience, reported Egypt Today.

The Coordination Committee of Parties Youth and Politician expressed its pride to have the confidence of the leadership after selecting 10 of its members to be deputies of new Egyptian governors.

The Committee appreciates this new step to broaden the participation of the Youth in leading the country, a step perceived as vivid evidence that the current leadership seeks to provide the youth with opportunities and took advantage of their abilities.

The Committee extended its sincere salutes to its members, Ibrahim Al-Shihabi, appointed as deputy governor of Giza, Mohamed Moussa, appointed as deputy governor of Monofiya, Bilal Habash, appointed as deputy governor of Beni Suef, and member Hazem Omar, appointed as deputy governor of Qena.



The presidency spokesperson, Bassam Radi, said in a statement that al Sisi expects a collective work that would add to the development process of the state.

“Al Sisi assigned the new governors and their deputies to exert their utmost efforts to serve the citizens and meet their demands as well as utilizing the resources available in every governorate, combat corruption and incompetence as well as finding out innovative resolutions for the current burdens,” said Radi.

This step taken by President Abdel Fatah al Sisi is perceived as unprecedented and the largest movement ever taken by an Egyptian leadership to include the youth, and even young politicians from Parties considered to be part of the opposition in Egypt, according to experts.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has assigned newly-appointed governors and their deputies to exert every possible effort to serve citizens and meet their needs, in addition to utilizing the resources available in each governorate.

The State will continue to focus on building the Egyptian citizen through providing him with a high-quality education, healthcare, and appropriate work conditions, the president told the new governors and their deputies following a swearing-in ceremony at El Ittihadia Palace on Wednesday.

Sisi ordered the governors and their deputies to maintain high-level coordination with the ministries concerned to improve the performance of administrative bodies and hone skills of workers, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said.
