Egypt keen to provide strong infrastructure for spurring investments

CAIRO 16 October 2019: Minister of Planning, Monitoring and Administrative Reform Hala el Saeed said the state is keen on providing a strong infrastructure, with a view to improving Egyptians' standard of living and creating a suitable business environment for Egyptian and foreign investors.

Speaking at the opening of the fifth edition of “Egypt Can” conference, el Saeed added that the economic reform program was meant to regain investors' confidence and establish more partnerships with the private sector.

She went on to say that the state pays great attention to small and medium-sized enterprises, as they play a key role in securing decent jobs.

El Saaed noted that the state's administrative reform plan is aimed at raising the efficiency of institutions, while going ahead with the application of digital transformation, through encouraging the usage of e-payment methods and bringing about financial inclusion.
