CAIRO - 4 August 2019: The Libyan National Army (LNA) bombed a military troop affiliated to the militias of the Government of National Accord based in Tripoli. The troop was targeted in Abu Grein town located southern Misrata, western the country.

The LNA made the announcement on August 4 revealing that its fighter jets attacked the troop encompassing a number of armed groups, and militants affiliated to the Shura Councils of Benghazi, Derna, and Agdabia allied with the Islamic State while they were leaving Misrata.

The General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA) launched on April 4 the “Dignity Flood” operation to free Tripoli.

On July 22, units of the Libyan National Armed Forces started moving towards combat zones to liberate the capital Tripoli from militias and extremist groups, a military source told Egypt Today on condition of anonymity.
