CAIRO, Aug 3 (MENA) - The Arab League welcomed on Saturday the agreement reached by Sudan's transitional military council (TMC) and the Forces for Freedom and Change (FFC) coalition for a new period of transitional government.

An official source at the Arab League said the agreement, to be signed in the coming two days, is set to launch a new and important stage that goes in line with the Sudanese people's aspirations of a civilian democratic rule and comprehensive peace across the country.

The Arab League reiterates its commitment to supporting the transitional authorities that have been agreed upon to achieve the Sudanese people's hopes of peace, democracy, stability and comprehensive development, he added.
