CAIRO, July 30 (MENA) - The National youth forums provide an effective platform for achieving sustainable development in Egypt, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said Tuesday.

The youth-oriented event is gradually gaining momentum, Rady told Al Nile News TV channel on the sidelines of the 7th National Youth Conference, which kicked off earlier today in the New Administrative Capital.

Rady underscored the state's commitment to remain in touch with its youth, who constitute 65% of the country's population.

Highlighting the state's leading efforts to organize this kind of youth events, which were acclaimed by the whole world, Rady cited a UN statement commending Egypt's ground-breaking experience in communicating with young people.

He also asserted the importance of the session dubbed “Ask the President” as an effective communication tool with youth.

The agenda of the current edition of the national youth conference include many issues of the utmost importance to the Egyptian people, the spokesman added.
