CAIRO, July 29 (MENA) - The Arab League (AL) General Secretariat will host on Tuesday the 46th ordinary session of the Arab Permanent Committee on Human Rights.

The event will be attended by representatives of the relevant member states and national human rights organizations, as well as civil society organizations with an observer status.

In press statements on Monday, AL Assistant Secretary General for Social Affairs Haifa Abu Ghazala said Israeli violations of human rights in the Arab occupied territories will be at the top of the session's agenda.

The meeting is expected to discuss the possibility of developing phased plans for the Arab regional human rights strategy endorsed by Arab leaders during their summit in Tunis in March.
