TRIPOLI, May 1 (MENA) - Member of the Libyan House of Representatives Saleh Afihima said that Qatar is trying to undermine the Libyan parliament's unity and create division among its deputies.

In statements to Al Arabiya news channel on Wednesday, the Libyan parliamentarian said Qatar is behind the meeting held by some MPs in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, adding Qatar is seeking to create division among the Libyan deputies via calling for changing the speaker of the Libyan parliament.

He also lashed out at the Qatari regime's interference in Libya's domestic affairs.

Several Libyan MPs had a meeting in Libya to move the Tobruk-based parliament to the capital Tripoli.
