CAIRO – 13 March 2019: The government must face the rumors propagated against Egypt through social media and respond to the international human rights organizations' reports with political bias against Egypt whose sole aim is to undermine the security of the country.

"In order to confront those reports, the National Council for Human Rights must respond to these lies propagated by the organizations supporting terrorist groups," human rights researcher, Haitham Shurraby, told Egypt Today Wednesday.

He called for the need to provide the correct data and information to respond to the lies propagated by these organizations, in addition to banning the centers and institutions that work inside Egypt and provide these organizations with false information lacking impartiality and objectivity.

The researcher stressed the need for the SIS to play a greater role in responding to these organizations in different languages through the recruitment of human rights researchers to face these allegations with information and irrefutable evidence.

For his part, professor of political science at Cairo University Tarek Fahmy said that the government should respond to these lies and reports at once and address the relevant authorities abroad, translating the response into foreign languages.

Fahmy also said that the government should allow foreign correspondents in Egypt to play their role and convey the correct situation in the country.
