CAIRO, Jan 28 (MENA) - French Ambassador Stéphane Romatet said on Monday the current visit by French President Emmanuel Macron to Egypt is an important event and a big step on the road of pushing forward bilateral relations.

Romatet, in a special edition issued by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the occasion of Macron's visit, said the French leader wants to push forward economic partnership with Egypt whose economy began to flourish once again.

He underlined the importance that French companies would make the best use of available investment opportunities in Egypt, saying this is the right time for French companies to invest in Egypt.

He hoped the visit would create new vistas for partnership between the two countries.

The Egyptian-French economic forum, to be hosted by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry later in the day, aims at boosting cooperation between Egyptian businessmen and their French counterparts, the French diplomat said.
