CAIRO - 23 June 2018: The Arab Council Supporting Fair Trial and Human Rights (ACSFT) praised the efforts exerted by the Egyptian government in its fruitful cooperation with the UNHCR and its national partners in Egypt, supporting refugees in Egypt of multiple nationalities, according to a statement issued on Friday.

They announced also that it joined the international campaign working on the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Refugees to ensure their basic rights.

Adding that the world celebrated the International Day of Refugees as a reminder of the courage of millions of refugees around the world who were forced to leave their homeland.

ACSFT expressed it’s hope that every refugee would have their legitimate rights, to have a safe place to live, obtain decent work or learn new skills that enable him or her to support his family and integrate into society.

ACSFT aims to offer Legal empowerment and support for the poor (Egyptians and foreigners), including refugees and asylum seekers, according to the official website. It also aims to promote and disseminate a culture of human rights and awareness-raising, promoting democracy and freedom of expression. The Council also cooperates and coordinates with national, regional and international human rights institutions and organizations.
