CAIRO-6 March 2018: The Egyptian security delegation met on Tuesday with Governor of Northern Gaza Salah Abu Wardah at the delegation headquarters in Gaza strip to continue the negotiations with Palestinian factions.

The Egyptian security delegation, headed by Major General Sameh Nabil, Major General Khaled Sami and Brigadier Abdel Hady Farag, resumed their meetings with Palestinian factions on Tuesday to bring the viewpoints closer to implement the stumbling political reconciliation.

Previously, a top Egyptian security delegation met with Head of political bureau of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh in Gaza on Thursday, to resume the efforts to complete the Palestinian reconciliation.

Talks between the two parties tackled the efforts that should be done to facilitate the mission of the Unity Government in Gaza strip.

The delegation met with Deputy President of the Palestinian Legislative Council Ahmed Bahr on March 1 to discuss Hamas’s conditions to complete the reconciliation, ending the division inside Gaza.

An Egyptian security delegation arrived in Gaza Strip on Sunday to discuss the recent developments regarding the reconciliation agreement signed between long-time Palestinian rivals Fatah and Hamas in Egypt.

Since the signing of the reconciliation agreement in Cairo in mid-October, Egypt has sent several security delegations to the Gaza Strip to follow up on the recently-established government's work.

In statements to Palestinian Sawa news agency on Monday, Azzam al-Ahmad, member of the Fatah Central Committee, affirmed that both the Palestinian and Egyptian parties agreed on several terms, including banning terrorists from using the Rafah border crossing or taking privilege of it in any way.
