Palestine recalls ambassador to US for consultation

RAMALLAH - 31 December 2017: Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al Maliki recalled Sunday Palestine's Ambassador to US Husam Zomlot for consultation, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

The decision to recall Zomlot comes in light of the tension in relations between Palestine and the US over President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, according to a statement issued by the Palestinian Foreign Ministry.
