CAIRO – 11 September 2017: “Muslim Brotherhood is trying to exploit events in Burma to raise funds,” Egyptian cleric Khaled el-Gendy, member of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, claimed in a TV program on DMC satellite channel.

Speaking on Sunday evening, Gendy stressed that the siege on terror-sponsoring countries has dried up, to some extent, the funding sources used by the group.

According to Gendy, the Brotherhood exploits crises in various countries to raise funds, which are then spent on the group's activities aimed at ruining the Egyptian state, its institutions, army and the police.
