Sisi grants Emir of Kuwait privileges of Egyptian citizens

CAIRO – 17 August 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi issued a decree published in Egypt’s Official Gazette on Thursday, stipulating that the privileges of law no. 143 of 1981 related to ownership of desert lands that is enforced on Egyptian citizens are now granted to the Emir of Kuwait, too.

The decree enabled the Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber to own lands the same as Egyptian citizens.

The decision granted the Emir of Kuwait three lands of 163 acres in the Sharqiya governorate. The first land is 6 acres, the second is 128 acres and the third is 29 acres.
