CAIRO – 17 August 2017: Foreign Affairs Ministers of United Arab of Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain have praised the stance of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) that facilitated pilgrimage procedures for Qatari pilgrims.

King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia issued a royal decree on Wednesday allowing Qatari pilgrims to enter KSA for Hajj through Salwa Land Port without electronic permits. The King also ordered to send Saudi Arabian Airlines' planes to Doha to transport all Qatari pilgrims directly into KSA at his- Salman- expense.

In a Twitter post, the minister said that Saudi Arabia has proven how “great” it is, adding that Qatar puzzle and politicization for pilgrimage topic must end after the initiative of King Salman, “There are things that are higher than politics," he added.

In July, Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs issued a decision to stop electronic registration of Hajj for Qatari citizens, without clarifying the reasons behind this decision. In a meeting in Manama, the foreign ministers of the four Arab states condemned the Qatari decision.
