CAIRO - 19 July 2017: Amman will host the 27th session of the Joint Supreme Committee during July 24-27, in view of promoting bilateral relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, revealed Tareq Adel, Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan, on Tuesday to Ahram Gate news website.

"The meetings of the Technical Committee of the Preparatory Committee are scheduled to be held on July 24-25, while the meeting of the Ministerial Preparatory Committee will be held on July 26," said Adel. The meeting of the Joint Supreme Committee will be chaired by the presidents of the two countries.

The Egyptian ambassador pointed out that the 27th session of the Joint Supreme Committee is scheduled to witness the implementation of the agreements reached during the last session held in Cairo in August 2016, as well as reviewing various aspects of cooperation, especially in the economic and investment fields and other topics of mutual concern.

It is expected that the Supreme Committee will be concluded by signing a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding agreed upon during the preparatory meetings.

The Egyptian-Jordanian High Joint Committee is the oldest of the Arab higher committees and functions as the main mechanism to follow up on all aspects of the bilateral relations between the two countries. The said committee convenes periodically under the chairmanship of the prime ministers of the two countries, reflecting the political weight of the committee's work
