CAIRO – 4 July 2017: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain took decisive measures against Qatar’s support to terrorism amid a leniency from the international community, parliamentarian Dalia Youssef said on Tuesday.

Youssef, member of the Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, accused the international community of neglecting the Arab-Qatari crisis and other State Sponsors of terrorism.

“Egypt led the international initiative to combat terrorism via speech given by President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi during the Arab-U.S. Summit in Riyadh in May,” Dalia noted.

She added that the international community, most notably the United States of America, neglect Qatar’s support to terrorism. “More serious procedures must be taken by the international community against terrorism,” Dalia said.

“We are fully aware of the American balances and the presence of an American military base in Qatar, but this does not mean neglecting Qatar’s policies which support and fund terrorism,” Dalia stressed.

It has to be mentioned that Egyptian social media users expressed their rejection of showing any leniency in dealing with the tiny emirate of Qatar by launching a hashtag, #Egyptian_blood_Is_Precious, that condemns Qatari support for terrorist groups committing crimes inside Egypt.

The popular hashtag campaign documents the crimes and massacres undertaken by groups funded by the tiny emirate, where several Egyptians were killed and suffered from untreatable injuries.
The campaign pledges to not forget the Egyptian spilled blood and sacrifices to contain the terrorism provoked by individuals sheltered in Qatar, such as the leaders of the outlawed terrorist group the Muslim Brotherhood.

Egyptian citizens participating in the campaign said they are keen to win the war against the terrorism funders in the region, also to achieve justice for those who sacrificed their lives in the battle against extremism.
