CAIRO – 6 March 2021: President of Cairo University Mohammed Othman el-Khosht stated that the university managed to reserve an advanced position in international classifications during the past three years.

El-Khosht added up to his remark saying that 22 percent of the international research that were carried out by the Cairo University were conducted during the past three years.

He further added that Cairo University has entered the international classifications by following several criteria, the most important of which is “developing a research plan at the highest level, providing multiple incentives to faculty members, in addition to developing more than 67 research centers and units.”

In a statement issued by Cairo University, Dr. El-Khosht explained that one of the most important steps that led to the entry of Cairo University into international rankings was “the creation of an international journal in the humanities and social sciences,” which is a magazine published by the world's leading researchers from prestigious universities.

Dr. El-Khosht emphasized that Cairo University has already transformed into a third-generation university, and that the last stage in this transformation is the creation of the largest interactive educational platform for online education and examinations.

Dr. Al-Khasht indicated that 1,325 academic regulations have been developed according to the blended education system, which combines the attendance system and the electronic system.
