CAIRO- 5 March 2021: Hurghada International Airport received Thursday the first flight by a Lithuanian airline company, as GetJet Airlines resumed its flights to the Red Sea resort city after more than a year hiatus due to the global outbreak of coronavirus.
Carrying 180 passengers on board, the plane was received by water salute. The passengers were also had a warm reception at the airport, as they were welcomed by flowers.
The move culminated the efforts of the Civil Aviation Ministry, and Tourism and Antiquities Ministry, aimed at revitalizing the tourism activities in the Egyptian destinations.
GetJet Airlines is planned to operate three flights a week to Hurghada airport. (
