TRIPOLI/ROME, Feb 27 (MENA) - UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis, stressed the need for all Libyan parties to come together and accelerate the process of forming a government, Libya's Alwasat website reported.

He urgently called for holding a unified formal session of the Libyan House of Representatives to hold a vote of confidence.

This came during Kubis's meeting on Friday with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio in Rome, to exchange views on the latest developments in Libya, according to a statement by the UN Mission.

The two parties discussed the importance of the unwavering support by the international community for the Libyan political process with Kubis expressing appreciation for Italy's strong support to the UN efforts in Libya.
