CAIRO - 27 February 2020: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted on Saturday the importance of providing various services in North and South Sinai governorates, saying that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attaches great importance to this file and follows up it constantly.


The premier commented on a report presented by Culture Minister Inas Abdel Dayem highlighting her ministry’s efforts to upgrade the infrastructure of the General Authority of Culture Palaces in both governorates in addition to the cultural activities and events being organized there.



In the report, the minister pointed out to the ministry’s efforts as part of its action plan to achieve the sustainable development goals and implement the general vision of the government’s program which includes a specific area focusing on building and reshaping the awareness of the Egyptian citizen. 

 

Abdel Dayem's report submitted to the prime minister, she said her ministry, represented by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, attaches great importance to developing the infrastructure of the authority's premises in conjunction with upgrading the cultural and artistic services offered to the residents of North and South Sinai.

In this regard, the General Authority for Cultural Palaces has implemented many programs in both governorates, the minister said, adding that these events witnessed massive turnout by the beneficiaries.

The report indicated that there were 26 cultural premises in the two governorates in addition to five literary clubs.



The report showed that Sharm El Sheikh Culture Palace opened to the public after being renovated, and Arish Culture Palace has been also revamped. A study is being prepared to develop El Tor theatre in addition to another to establish a cultural palace in each major development community in both governorates.



total of 441 cultural and artistic events have been organized in South Sinai during the period from September to December 2020, benefiting 11,9706 citizens, according to statists.



The report showed that 193 cultural and artistic events were organized in North Sinai during the same period, from which 12,333 citizens benefited.
