CAIRO – 24 February 2021: Egypt’s Grand Mufti Shawki Allam said that more than 550 reports were issued to highlight Muslim Brotherhood’s claims of peace.

Allam’s remarks came during the first of a series of seminars titled “Political Islamization,” which aimed at educating young people to not confuse the religion concept with the political one, in the presence of Egyptian university students.

“The entire history of the Brotherhood is not peaceful, and the claim of pacifism is a false one,” he said, stressing that there is a link between the Brotherhood and all terrorist groups in the scene.

He further added that “the exploitation of religion to gain power is a poor understanding, adding that the slogan of raised by terrorists who murder while say "Islam is the solution" is a “tantalizing slogan.”

“Our battle is a battle of consciousness, and we must filter the news that reaches us, and we have to be fully aware,” he said.
