CAIRO - 16 February 2020: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday followed up the latest progress of a national project to develop central and north Sinai, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said in a Monday statement.


Sisi had a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Ati, Agriculture Minister Sayed Al Qusair and head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ehab Al Far, among others.

The meeting reviewed the progress of the national project on the reclamation and cultivation of land as well as works related to irrigation and power plants, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

The president directed to swiftly carry out this strategic development project through coordination and integration among state-run bodies, particularly the sectors of irrigation and agriculture.
