Preparatory meetings for 9th Arab Water Council session kick off

CAIRO - 2 July 2017: The 15th meeting of the scientific advisory committee of the Arab Water Council kicked off here on Sunday under Iraq's presidency.

Today's meeting comes as part of preparations for the council's 9th session, slated for Thursday.

The committee will discuss over three days 22 topics placed on the agenda of the council's session, an Arab League official said.

The committee will also probe water issues in the Arab world and projects being implemented to achieve sustainable development, he added.
