Cairo sees drop in temperature by 5°C Thursday; rainfall expected

CAIRO – 28 January 2021: Cairo will witness a drop in temperature by 5 degrees Celsius on Thursday, where a cold weather accompanied with active wind will prevail.

Director of the Weather Forecast Department at the General Authority of Meteorology Mahmoud Shaheen, stated that the country will witness mild to moderate rainfall at intermittent periods.   

The authority further expects a very cold weather at night in Cairo and Lower Egypt.

 

As for the temperature degrees expected Thursday:

Greater Cairo will record highs of 17 °C and lows of 9 °C.

Alexandria will record highs of 16 °C and lows of 10 °C

Matrouh will record highs of 16 °C and lows of 11 °C.

Sohag will record highs of 19 °C and lows of 7 °C.

Qena will record highs of 21 °C and lows of 7 °C.

Aswan will record highs of 23 °C and lows of 8 °C.
