BAGHDAD - 1 July 2017: Iraq's rapid reaction forces took full control of al Shifaa district northern Mosul as part of the final operations to uproot Daesh terrorists, the Iraqi federal police announced on Saturday.

The forces also recaptured the old iron bridge, the last Daesh-controlled bridge in Mosul, Sky News quoted the police as saying.

Meanwhile, federal police continued hunting down Daesh militants in their hideouts.
