All we know about 7 missing Egyptian expatriates in Italy since 2008

CAIRO – 24 November 2020: In one of the most mysterious cases, which dates back to 2008; Seven Egyptians are still missing in Italy despite all efforts exerted by the Egyptian officials and consulate in Rome to know their fate.

All of the seven cases were recorded by the Italian channel Rai3, which aired all known information about all disappeared people, including their names and date of disappearance. The seven missing Egyptians as counted by the Italian Channel are: “Amro Ibrahim Ahmed El Sabagh, Abdou Ibrahim Akl known as Magdì, Mana Abd El Rahman, Medhat Farag, Ahmed Abdelfattah, Adel Heikal and Abdelghany Mousa Rady.”

Amro Ibrahim Ahmed El Sabagh was at the age of 26 when announced missing in August 2008. Amr arrived in Milan in 2008 for a vacation, and lived in his brother’s home. Shortly later, he went missing and his family never heard of him since then.

Also, Abdou Ibrahim Akl known as Magdì was at age of 61 when he announced missing in August 2017. He used to live in Milan where he worked as a driver for a transportation company.

Mana Abd El Rahman, was at the age of 49 when disappeared in April 2009. He was known to live with his friends in Rome. However, since mid-April according to the Italian channel no one was able to find him in the city.

Medhat Farag was an Egyptian immigrant who arrived Italy without a residence permit. For a short time, Farag worked in a cleaning company in Milan, However, he faced several challenges shortly after arriving in Italy and after a while he disappeared completely leaving a wife and couple of children in Egypt.

Among the missing Egyptians as well, Ahmed Abdelfattah, who disappeared in Taranto since September 2014, Adel Heikal who disappeared at the age of 51 from Rome, and Abdelghany Mousa Rady who disappeared in Turin, April 2013.
