CAIRO - 8 November 2020: The Egyptian Judges' Club's operation room said no complaints had been received by the judges over the first day of the second round of the House of Representatives' elections.

In a press release on Saturday, Reda Mahmoud, the club's spokesman, said the club thanks judges and members of the Public Prosecution for carrying out their duties in these exceptional circumstances; namely the spread of the coronavirus.

He appreciated their supervision of elections in some governorates which witness bad weather.

For the second day in a row, Egyptian voters have headed to polling stations in 13 governorates since 9:00 A.M (Cairo Time) to resume casting their ballots in the 2nd phase of the House Representatives election on Sunday.

Long queues and high turnout were noticed outside dozens of polling stations since Sunday morning.

The two-day voting takes place in the governorates of Cairo, Qalioubiya, Daqahliya, Menoufiya, Gharbiya, Kafr Al-Sheikh, Sharqiya, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai and South Sinai from 9 am till 9 pm.

According to the NEA, the eligible voters in the second phase would cast their ballots in 9,468 polling stations distributed among 72 electoral constituencies and supervised by 12,000 judges.
