CAIRO - 5 November 2020: The joint higher committee between the ministries of agriculture and irrigation discussed during its 27th meeting exerting every effort to support projects of modernizing and upgrading irrigation systems, urging transferring to modern irrigation and increasing production.
Via video conference on Thursday, the meeting was held under Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati and Agriculture Minister el Sayyed el Qasir and attended by officials from both ministries.
Qasir asserted the importance of implementing the decisions of the coordination committee and exerting every effort to support the project of modernizing and upgrading irrigation system.
Meanwhile, Abdel Aati necessitated coordination between both ministries to prepare a report on what was implemented.
Both ministers discussed providing the water demands necessary for expanding the agricultural area in Sinai.
They lauded and thanked the workers in both ministries for their efforts.
At the end of the meeting, they agreed on forming joint committees of officials and specialists from both ministries to follow up the Egyptian farms in Africa.
