Egypt’s Health Ministry on COVID-19: Recovery rate reaches 93.3% in isolation hospitals

CAIRO – 15 October 2020: Health and Population Egyptian Ministry revealed on Wednesday that the rate of recovery from the new coronavirus (COVID-19) disease in isolation hospitals reached 93.3 percent after a total of 97,920 recovered cases were recorded nationwide, registering a decrease of 0.2 percent in recovery rate over four days.

 

On Sunday, the Ministry announced that the recovery rate reached 93.5 percent, according to a statement.

 

On Wednesday, the Ministry stated that 128 new cases of coronavirus were tested positive over 24 hours, according to examination procedures conducted by the ministry according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO). Six new patients died, raising the death toll to 6,077, the statement added.

 

As many as 79 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recovered cases to 97,920 so far..

 

The ministry has allocated the hotlines, 105and 15335, to receive citizens' inquiries about the coronavirus and infectious diseases. This is in addition to the WhatsApp number, 01553105105, and the Egypt Health application available on phones.
