CAIRO - 12 October 2020: A new city will be built over 29,000 feddans near the New Administrative Capital, which will include housing projects for all segments of the society.
 
According to the Housing Ministry, the city will be called "Capital Gardens," and it will provide proper housing for all those who will work in the Administrative Capital, but at lower prices that the latter.
 
Capital Gardens will be only 10 minutes away from the Administrative Capital, and will be an extension to the neighboring Badr City. The construction of about 30,000 housing units has already begun and will be ready for accomodation by July. 
 
 
A metro station will connect Capital Gardens to the Administrative Capital, as well as other means of transportation.
 
Egypt announced establishing dozens of new cities in the past six years, some of them were already planned but had never seen the light of day, including the New Administrative Capital. 
 
Most of the new cities are extensions to existing cities, usually named after the parent city with adding the words "new" or "gardens."
