CAIRO – 24 August 2020: Egyptian Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources spokesperson, Mohamed El Sebaie said Sunday that the Ethiopian GERD negotiations are entering their last phases.
The spokesperson added in press statements that legal and technical experts were selected to represent the three countries Egypt, Ethiopia, and Sudan for the negotiations, adding that a final agreement shall be submitted to the African Union by August 28.
Sebaei also mentioned that Egypt shall have higher rates of Nile floods this year than the ones it had in 2019. The spokesperson said that the Ministry will make sure that floodwaters benefit all the farmers.
