Egypt sends medial aid to Sudan, which was hit by floods- press photo

CAIRO - 21 August 2020: Upon President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives, an urgent relief military plane headed on Thursday to Sudan to help Sudanese people whom are affected by floods hit the country, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Defense on Thursday.

In another statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Health, Minister Hala Zayed revealed that the new aid shipment consists of 11 tons of medical aid and relief supply.

 

It is scheduled that the Minister would hold an online meeting with her Sudanese counterpart Sarah Abdel Azim to activate the Egyptian President’s initiative of treat one million Africans from Hepatitis C virus, the statement said.

 

The initiative aims at screening 250,000 Sudanese citizens and sending 200,000 shots of Hepatitis C vaccine to this African counrty, the statement noted.
