CAIRO, Aug 16 (MENA) - The House of Representatives has approved a bill submitted by the government to amend an article of a law on judicial procedures in personal status matters.

Under the amended law, the general prosecution could authorize representatives of incapacitated or absent persons to cash their funds that do not exceed 10,000 pounds without a court order.

This figure could increase to 20,000 pounds based on a decision by the attorney general and only once every three months, the amended article stipulates.

Representatives who are authorized to cash the funds should submit documents to verify they are entitled to that action if needed.

The amended article should be published in the official gazette to be applicable on the following day.
