CAIRO – 5 August 2020: The Ministry of Health and Population issued a statement Wednesday announcing that 6.8 million women were subject to medical check-ups within the presidential campaign for "Supporting the Woman's Health" launched in July 2019.

 

The women aged 18 and above were screened for diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. They were also informed about healthy habits, family planning, and breast self-exam.  

 

The medical services pertinent to the campaign are offered through 3,593 health units, and 101 hospitals. The number of medical staff taking part is 4098.
