Egypt's PM: Egypt has never faced this scale of challenges throughout its history

CAIRO - 22 July 2020: Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly chaired a meeting attended by all the state's ministers in the New Alamein City on Wednesdayto discuss several important issues on the government's agenda.

 

The prime minister said that the Egyptian government provides all forms of support to the armed forcesto face the terrorist acts committed by takfiris.

 

"Egypt has never faced this scale of challenges throughout its history, whether outside or inside its borders," stated Madbouly, adding that Egypt will still be able toovercomethese challenges and difficulties.

 

He praised the success of the officers and soldiers of the armed forces in thwarting the terrorist attack on a security focal point in North Sinai and chasing the Takfiri elements inside a farm, killing 18takfiris.

 

Egypt has been countering terrorism and extremism ideologies since the ouster of late Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated President Mohamed Morsi.

 

Several operations have been taking place in Sinai against terrorists, and many Egyptian officers and soldiers have martyred in the battle.

 

Egypt’s army has also been playing a vital role during the critical timing of the novelcoronavirus outbreak, as many streets and buildings have been sterilized, and free face masks have been provided to citizens in common places of gatherings.
