Russia confirms 5,862 COVID-19 cases, 789,190 in total

MOSCOW, July 22 (MENA) - As many as 5,862 new COVID-19 cases are confirmed in Russia on July 22 taking the total number of 789,190, the emergency response team reported.

According to Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, more than 25.7 million laboratory tests were carried out since the beginning of the pandemic, including 255,000 in the previous 24 hours. Up to 572,053 patients recovered and 267,171 patients remain under medical observation.

Also, 165 people died from coronavirus on July 22. Most fatalities are reported in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
