CAIRO -  7 July 2020: The number of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases that were registered over the last 24 hours declined, according to the Ministry of Health’s daily briefing on Monday.
 
Egypt recorded 969 new COVID-19 cases, upping the total number of confirmed cases to 76,222.
 
The Health Ministry spokesman Khaled Megahed added in the daily briefing that 79 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 3,422.
 
As yet, a total of 21,238 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, the spokesman said.
