CAIRO - 4 July 2020: Egypt recorded, Saturday, 1342 new coronavirus cases, upping the total number of confirmed cases to 74035.

In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 79 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 3280.

As many as 413 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recovered cases to 20103 so far, the spokesman said.

The Egyptian Drug Authority announced signing a deal with AstraZeneca to supply the country with the Oxford University's vaccine for COVID-19 without disclosing the number of doses or the delivery date.
