CAIRO - 2 July 2020: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said that the government is prioritizing educational system development which targets to build an improved Egyptian personality.

This came on Thursday during Madbouli's meeting with Minister of Higher Education Khaled Abdel Ghaffar where they reviewed a strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education to develop the system of higher education.

Abdel Ghaffar said the cabinet approved the establishment of new private universities, adding that this comes within the framework of the government's plan to support scientific and academic progress.

The universities are those of Galala and South Sinai’s King Salman bin Abdel Aziz along with Alamein International University and New Mansoura University for Science and Technology, he said.

New governmental universities will be established in the New Valley, Marsa Matrouh, Luxor and Hurghada, Abdel Ghaffar also said.

He added that the ministry is working as well on establishing several technological universities in different parts of the country including in New Cairo, Beni Suef, Quesna, East Port Said, Borg el Arab, 6th of October, New Thebes and New Assiut. (MENA)
