ALEXANDRIA, Egypt, June 15 (MENA) - Chinese Consul General in Alexandria Zhao Liying on Monday said partnership relations between Egypt and China have been crystallized during the crisis of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The battle of the COVID-19 has proven that the international community shares a common future and that collective action and cooperation are the most effective means to defeat the pandemic, said Zhao in statements to MENA.

The Chinese diplomat said his country and Egypt are cooperating and supporting each other against the coronavirus, in a clear proof of the depth of their friendship.

He expressed hope that Egypt and China would be able to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The consul general hailed the effective anti-coronavirus measures adopted by the government, pointing to the success of his country under the leadership of President Xi Jinping in bringing the virus under control and becoming one of the earliest countries to resume economic activities.
