CAIRO, 4 June 2020: Egypt and the United Arab Emirates have stressed that they enjoy strong ties and significantly good political coordination.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the fourth session of the joint political consultations committee was held on Thursday.

Senior officials from Egypt and the UAE took part in the session and reviewed and exchanged opinions on many files of mutual interest.

They also reviewed the current regional and international developments, including the repercussions of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

They placed emphasis on the necessity of sharing experience and good practices on distance learning, food security and medical and health procedures to curb the Covid-19 spread.

Both countries reaffirmed the importance of maintaining political coordination and consultations to serve their mutual interests and goals so that they can face all current challenges.
